Get started with Asky and see your first AI search results in under 5 minutes.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you’ll need:

Create Your Workspace

When you first sign up, you’ll be prompted to create a workspace:

  1. Enter your workspace name (e.g., your company name)
  2. This workspace will contain all your brands, monitors, and team members

Workspaces allow you to organize multiple brands and invite team members with different roles.

Add Your First Brand

After creating your workspace, add your brand:

  1. Enter your website URL (e.g., https://yourcompany.com)
  2. Asky will automatically analyze your website to extract:
    • Brand name
    • Industry
    • Description
    • Key features
    • Target audience
    • Suggested keywords

This analysis typically takes 10-30 seconds and provides the foundation for your AI search monitoring.

View Your Results

Once you finish onboarding, Asky will query AI platforms on your behalf:

  1. Go to your monitor’s detail page
  2. You’ll see responses from:
    • ChatGPT (OpenAI)
    • Perplexity
    • Google AI Overviews
  3. Each response shows:
    • The full AI-generated answer
    • Whether your brand was mentioned
    • Competitors that were mentioned
    • Citations and sources used

Optional: Set Up Crawler Tracking

To see when AI bots visit your website:

  1. Go to AI SearchCrawler Logs
  2. Click Setup Instructions
  3. Copy your Domain ID
  4. Follow the platform-specific instructions for:

Crawler tracking is optional but highly recommended. It shows you when ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI systems fetch content from your site in real-time.

Optional: Track Additional Competitors

  1. Go to your competitors page
  2. Here you will find an overview of all competitors that are being tracked
    • Classify what type of relation you have to each competitor
    • Add/remove competitors to personalize your tracking
