Sitemap Too Large

What This Means

The sitemap exceeds the recommended limits of 50MB uncompressed or 50,000 URLs. Large sitemaps may not be fully processed by search engines.

What Triggers This Issue

This issue is triggered when a sitemap file exceeds 50MB in size (uncompressed) or contains more than 50,000 URL entries.

How To Fix

Split your sitemap into multiple smaller sitemaps, each under the limits. Create a sitemap index file that references all the individual sitemaps. Consider organizing sitemaps by content type or site section.
